This multi functional dressings can act an Unna boot to protect vasculitis skin, or it can be a contact layer to manage an erythmic wound base. Regime – Varicex used for an erythmic wound base, can last for 2-4 days. Varicex used as a protective Unna boot can last up to 7 days. Precautions – Varicex used for an erythmic wound base must not be wrapped around the leg, as when it dries and becomes hard, this can create a tourniquet effect.
